Many deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office regularly attend Special Response Training. SRT affords the deputies with specialized training allowing them to deal with issues such as active shooters, barricaded individuals, hostage situations, and high risk warrant service as a department. This broad approach allows us to effectively utilize the wide variety of training and abilities of our men and women.
